Sip And Discuss @ The Tank

Another day and yet another blog post at The Tank Brewing. After joining The Tank for their fitness events (Miami’s first ever Craft Beer Run and Namaste at The Tank) I decided to go back with beer enthusiast @Thirsty_Samurai_Piggy but this time just for a foodie and beer-venture! I wanted to actually find out what The Tank Brewing had to offer. After having the brewery tour I got excited to catch flights in the tap room, so that is exactly what I did!

Carlos Padron, owner of The Tank Brewing, is a cigar aficionado and also distributor. As shown in the photos above, his fixation seeps into his craft beer scene and he’s used cigar boxes as The Tank Brewing’s official flights holder. How crafty is that?!

There are two flights available as they have officially eight beers on tap. They have their core flight which is their four very well known beers: Freedom Tower, La Finca, El Farito, and their Rye Lingual Stout (which also comes in nitro and is so creamy and delicious)! Take a look for yourself!

This is the gorgeous Rye Lingual Nitro Stout. I would say that this was actually my #1 favorite. I will show you my #2 later.

So their other flight aside their core beers had the other four beers on tap which included their Hop Experiment #4, Hop Experiment #6, French Oaked English Brown and American Rye Stout. In this flight my favorite was the French Oaked English Brown, see below for a closeup.

The French Barrel was my favorite because you can taste the oakiness to it but it went down smooth. It was so good you can see my friend, Sonia, ordered one for herself and even had to take a photo for the Gram too!

And now for the good part! Drum roll please?! *DRUM ROLL SOUND* FOOD! The food menu at The Tank is seriously delicious! Even the bar bites are amazing. I was able to try the duck wings (which I licked the bones to death), chicken wings, and their big ass pretzel (literally, it was bigger than my head and its the official name on the menu). Below are photos of what I munched on, in the order I listed above.

The Tank is working on a brunch menu currently. But what they are kicking off starting this Sunday (11/5/17) is unlimited rose for $15, which is the perfect combination for when their brunch menu is officially released. The wine enthusiast in me kicked in and I asked for a sip of their rose which was 2016 Sabine (Province) on tap. In my opinion, the price is right, the temperature they store and pour it out of is perfection, and it was not too sweet it was just right and good quality. The Tank also serves 2016 Satellite Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough) on tap, for my wine lovers out there. Food is brought to you by Twisted Fork Kitchen.

All and all the vibes are super laid back. To me it is the perfect place to come and destress and meet with your favorite people up for good beers and even better food. I have never been a fan of bar food such as The Ale House; although the menu at The Tank is somewhat bar food it is NOT your average bar food. Trust me on this! I am still dreaming of all of the goodness I ate last night. The Tank is in the middle of Doral’s business district so you will find a lot of people there that come right after work on a Friday night. Friendly staff all around, any questions you have they answer them thoroughly, the best way to try all of their beers and know what you’d like and stick with for the night is by starting with their flights which are priced at $10. Nicole is their newest edition to The Tank family as their Tap Room Manager – you can find her smiling face at the bar ready to serve you a cold one. So the next time you’re in Doral check The Tank out, come with your family, friends, or alone – it is the perfect place to sit and sip back and relax.

Cheers from John and Nicole herself, from behind the bar at The Tank! BEER CHEERS

A little shout out to my partner in crime @Thirsty_Samurai_Piggy for always being by my side and making every table we share a good one. And another to my brand new foodie friend @IllEatDat ~ which I am prettyyyyyy sure I met in a past life! Haha! Cheers to many more nights like last night. Thank you The Tank Brewing for helping us make dope memories with new and old friends in your fun Tasting Room. Looking forward to having more #SipAndDiscuss nights with people that matter.
