If you’re a runner you’d agree that your fuel is beer. Miami has done it again! Miami held their first ever craft beer 5K on September 30th 2017 at The Tank Brewing Co. Doors opened up for all runners at 5 PM for check in where tents were set up with local breweries such as; the hosts The Tank Brewing Co., 26 Degrees, Concrete Beach, Wynwood, Miami Brewing Co., MIA Beer Co., Biscayne Bay Brewing Co., and of course we had to have Goya Foods there too, representing the Miami Latin community. All level runners were welcomed and attended; from beginners to group runners from GoRun, iRun, and The Miami Famous Run Club, which made up a total of 453 runners that helped make this event possible. All of the proceeds went to causes such as; Live Like Bella Foundation which funds innovative pediatric cancer research and helps families and children that are affected by cancer and Amigos For Kids which is a foundation that funds prevention for child abuse and neglect by valuing children, strengthening families, and educating communities. Registration for runners was priced at $30 which included 4 samples of any breweries at the event and then a ticket to a choice of any free beer. There was a live band playing all of the best salsa jams, people dancing under the moonlight, pictures and boomerangs being taken in every direction you looked at of all of the smiling (sweaty) faces everywhere! CEO’s of both foundations were found mingling and enjoying the party and so was The Tank Brewing Co., which was only appropriate, the event was big and beautiful and filled with good vibes. Who’d want to miss out on that?!

I am usually the girl behind the camera, so naturally at a running event you’d catch me following the pig, @Samurai_Piggy. Check out the photos below :

A special shout out to the beautiful Julia Rose, @juliarosephotog, who took all of the professional photos for The Tank Brewing Co. craft beer event. She’s nothing short of ALL THE GOOD VIBES as that is what she aims to do, to capture everyone’s good side when she is shooting photos.

Shout out to Wynwood Brewing and their street team (@wynwoodbrewing / @wynwoodstreetteam) for showing up yet again to another event for great causes. Previously, Wynwood Brewing sponsored Haidar’s (@samurai_piggy) 24 Hour St. Jude Run Event. It is always a pleasure running into and working with such awesome people like them!

And a hello to a good friend I hadn’t seen in along time but was a nice surprise to run into, Amy (@aammyyb).

I have always been a firm believer that you attract what you are and yesterday was an example of that. Aside meeting such beautiful new people I also reconnected with so many other ones. It is an amazing thing when people like The Tank Brewing Co. creates events for good causes because they generate such good vibes that it is impossible for even bigger and better things to come out of these kinds of events. From helping save lives, to making new friends and reconnecting with old ones, drinking cold craft beer, and dancing into a good night in Miami, FL where so many people wish to vacation… If that doesn’t make you proud to be a runner and be living in Miami I don’t know what will! Thank you to everyone who made this even possible. I can’t wait until the next Craft Beer Run!
