Concerts are always a good idea! While there are many venues to chose from in South Florida, I feel like, for the most part, when it comes to the food and drinks, they don’t always carry the best options in taste and let alone price. This year has been the year of all of the concerts for me, so it was only natural that I found spots where I can eat, drink, and be merry so that my concert can be 100 times better! Who likes to dance and sing in an empty stomach anyway?! Ain’t nobody got time for hangry status! Before concerts I like to eat something quick and simple and if possible indulge on a few drinks so that it is more economical vs having to buy overpriced drinks at the arena. I did a little research around the Triple A Arena and I stumbled upon KONE MIAMI. KONE has been opened since 2009. They ventured into the world of fusion making them ‘not your regular sushi joint’ because they have fused Brazilian plates and drinks with Japanese ones. KONE is also the official sushi provider for the Dewar’s suites at AmericanAirlines Arena during the Miami Heat games and also for all of Ultra Music Festival’s VIP. I have visited KONE twice already. The first time was on a Friday and the second time was on a Tuesday (I totally sang that by the way). Service is spectacular, ask for Ian if you ever dine in, he definitely gives you the perfect one-on-one service and makes you feel like you have known him for years! There is always a special running at KONE (see below for the wallet friendly options I was mentioning).
Everyday there is a happy hour running which starts at 3 PM and ends at 7 PM. Their happy hour menu not only includes $5 drinks and beers but also plates that range from $3, $5, and $7. Beers below were $5 which were KIRIN. The unfiltered sake was not on happy hour but I decided to treat myself! The hot sake was $5 for half the bottle so I ordered two orders (for $10) which came in the cute little black sake container. Talk about HAPPY HOUR!!
Tuesdays they have the best special. *drum roll please* They have their famous ALL YOU CAN EAT which is priced at $32 for women and $38 for men. Their ALL YOU CAN EAT menu is different than the regular menu, but you have my word, the special menu has everything and anything you’d end up picking from the regular menu (for cheaper and for unlimited). WIN/WIN IF YOU ASK ME! You get to pick appetizers, sushi, sushi cones, nigiri, and even desert! I have provided photos below to help with the stomach growls and mouth drools. Scroll down at your own risk!
Inevitably, KONE will become my go-to not only for concerts days at the Triple A Arena but it even seems to fit on the days I go for runs around the downtown / Brickell area, cause what runner doesn’t like to carb load after a nice, long, hot run?!
I will be seeing more of you KONE. It was a pleasure to dine and drink with you before both of my recent concerts at the AmericanAirlines Arena. I saw Depeche Mode and Mumford and Sons. The total experience couldn’t have been a 10 out of 10 without my pre-gaming at KONE.
